Ingredients
- 4 pork chops, about 1-inch thick, bone-in
- 2 apples, preferably a crisp variety like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith, cored and diced
- 1/2 cup stuffing mix, traditional or herb-flavored
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons celery, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth (optional, to keep the stuffing moist)
Instructions
1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). This temperature allows the pork chops to cook thoroughly without drying out.
2. Place the prepared pork chops in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overlapping.
3. Set the cooking time for 18 minutes. Halfway through, flip the chops to ensure even air frying.
4. After cooking, check that the chops have reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and are golden brown on the outside.
5. Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This step helps redistribute the juices, making your pork chops moist and flavorful.
Notes
Always ensure that the pork chops are cooked to the correct internal temperature for safety and best results. Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
