Instructions
1. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to blend the seasoning.
2. Prepare the Egg Wash: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
3. Ready the Breadcrumbs: Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
4. Coat the Chicken: Dip each chicken piece first in the flour mixture, then the beaten eggs, and finally coat them well with the panko breadcrumbs.
5. Set Aside: Arrange the breaded chicken pieces on a plate and let them rest for about 5 minutes. This helps the coating stick better during cooking.
6. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F. Allow it to heat up for about 3 minutes. This ensures a crispier texture.
7. Arrange the Poppers: Place the chicken poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they do not touch to ensure even cooking.
8. Cook: Air fry the chicken poppers for 10 minutes. Then, using tongs, flip each popper and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until they are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
9. Toss in Buffalo Sauce: In a bowl, gently toss the cooked poppers with buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
