Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef or plant-based ground
- 6 large flour tortillas, gluten-free if needed
- 6 tostada shells or baked corn tortillas for gluten-free
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or dairy-free alternative
- 1/2 cup sour cream or vegan alternative
- 1/2 cup nacho cheese or vegan cheese sauce
- Taco seasoning, store-bought or homemade
Variations:
- Substitute ground beef with black beans for vegetarians.
- Use dairy-free cheese and sour cream for a vegan version.
- Opt for gluten-free tortillas if necessary.
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
- Lay a large tortilla flat. Add a scoop of seasoned beef to the center.
- Top beef with a tostada shell. Spread sour cream over the shell.
- Add lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheese on top of the sour cream.
- Drizzle nacho cheese over the veggies.
- Place a smaller tortilla or cut a piece of another large tortilla to cover the fillings.
- Fold the edges of the large tortilla towards the center, creating a hexagonal shape.
- Place the Crunchwrap seam-side down in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients.
Notes
Ensure the Crunchwrap is sealed well to prevent fillings from leaking during cooking. For best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
