Ingredients
- 4 frozen battered fish fillets
- Optional: Cooking spray (for extra crispiness)
Instructions
1. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes. Preheating ensures even cooking.
2. Arrange the fillets: Place the frozen battered fish fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they’re not overlapping to allow for even cooking.
3. Optional step: Lightly spray the fillets with cooking spray. This can help achieve extra crispiness.
4. Cook the fillets: Set the timer for 10-12 minutes. Halfway through cooking, at about the 5-6 minute mark, open the air fryer and flip the fish fillets using tongs. This helps both sides cook evenly.
5. Check for doneness: After 10-12 minutes, check the fillets. They should be golden brown and crispy. If they’re not crispy enough, you can add an additional 2-3 minutes.
6. Serve immediately: Carefully remove the fillets from the air fryer and place them on a plate. They are best enjoyed hot.
Notes
Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the fillets and the specific model of your air fryer. Always check the internal temperature to ensure it reaches at least 145°F (63°C).
