Air Fryer Honey Mustard Pork Chops

I’m very happy to share one of my favorite easy air fryer recipes: air fryer honey mustard pork chops. This dish is not only quick to prepare but also packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops: About 1 inch thick, bone-in or boneless
  • 3 tablespoons honey: Adds the sweetness needed for the glaze
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard: Yellow mustard also works well
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil: Helps in getting a nice, crisp exterior
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder: Enhances the flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder: Complements the garlic and adds depth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika: Adds color and a mild smokiness
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt: For seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper: For a bit of spice
  • Fresh parsley (optional): For garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Marinade

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine:
    • 3 tablespoons honey
    • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  2. Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined into a smooth marinade.
  3. Optional: You can substitute maple syrup for honey or add a splash of apple cider vinegar for a tangy kick.

Step 2: Marinate the Pork Chops

  1. Place the pork chops in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag.
  2. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, but ideally 2-4 hours for better flavor infusion.
  4. If you’re short on time, even a 15-minute marinade will add great flavor.

Last Step 3: Air Frying the Pork Chops

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the marinated pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd.
  3. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Use tongs to flip.
  4. Check for doneness with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  5. Let the pork chops rest for 3-5 minutes before serving to retain juices.
