Air fryer sausage stuffed mushrooms are a delightful and easy appetizer that’s perfect for any gathering. This air fryer recipe offers a delicious combination of juicy mushrooms filled with savory sausage and creamy cheese, all cooked to perfection.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound mushrooms (white or cremini)
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage (or hot sausage, depending on your preference)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing the mushrooms)

You can also make some variations or substitutions:

  • Use ground turkey or chicken sausage for a lighter option.
  • Add chopped spinach or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Substitute cheddar or mozzarella for parmesan if preferred.

Instructions

1. Clean the mushrooms: Wipe the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove dirt. Remove the stems and scoop out some of the inside to create space for the filling.
