Ingredients
- 12 large mushrooms, stems removed
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a bit of heat
Instructions
1. Prepare mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms by gently wiping them with a damp cloth. Remove the stems and scoop out a bit of the inside to create more space for the filling.
2. Clean shrimp: Peel and devein the shrimp, then finely chop them.
3. Mix filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, minced garlic, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Mix until well combined.
4. Preheat air fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
5. Stuff mushrooms: Fill each mushroom cap with the shrimp and cheese mixture, pressing it in firmly.
6. Arrange in air fryer: Place the stuffed mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
7. Set air fryer temperature: Ensure your air fryer is set to 375°F (190°C).
8. Cooking time: Cook the stuffed mushrooms for 10-12 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
Notes
Keep an eye on the mushrooms during the last few minutes of cooking to prevent over-browning.
