Ingredients
- 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup of yogurt (use vegan yogurt if needed)
- 2 tablespoons of tandoori marinade paste (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon of garam masala
- 1 teaspoon of paprika (for color)
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon of oil (optional, helps with crisping)
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cauliflower: Start by cutting the cauliflower into bite-sized florets. Rinse and drain them thoroughly.
2. Make the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, tandoori marinade paste, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, paprika, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until you have a smooth spiced yogurt marinade.
3. Marinate the Cauliflower: Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes. For deeper flavor, marinate for up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Preheating ensures even cooking and helps achieve a crispy texture.
5. Air Fry the Cauliflower: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with oil (optional). Place the marinated cauliflower florets in a single layer in the basket. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
6. Check for Doneness: The cauliflower should be golden brown and crispy on the edges. If needed, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
7. Serve: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For the best results, ensure the cauliflower is not overcrowded in the air fryer. This allows for even cooking and crisping. Adjust cooking time and air fryer settings based on your model.
