Ingredients
- 6–8 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons tandoori masala
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional, for extra heat)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup yogurt, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 2 tablespoons tandoori masala, 1 tablespoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon each of ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, and paprika.
2. Add 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional), 4 minced garlic cloves, 1 inch grated ginger, 1 teaspoon salt, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
3. Mix until smooth to create the tandoori marinade.
4. Make 2-3 slashes on each chicken drumstick with a knife.
5. Coat the drumsticks thoroughly with the marinade.
6. Place the marinated drumsticks on a tray, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
7. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for 5 minutes.
8. Arrange the marinated drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
9. Cook for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
