Ingredients
- 1 package frozen chicken patties
- 4 burger buns (optional)
- 4 slices cheese (optional)
- Condiments of your choice (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, etc.)
- Lettuce, tomato, and pickles (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set the air fryer temperature to 400°F and preheat for 3-5 minutes. This ensures even cooking.
2. Arrange the Patties: Place the frozen chicken patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping to ensure they cook evenly.
3. Cook at 400°F: Set the cooking time for frozen chicken patties to 8-12 minutes. Start with 8 minutes and add more time if needed.
4. Flip Halfway Through: At the 4-6 minute mark, flip the chicken patties to ensure both sides get crispy.
5. Check for Doneness: Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It should reach 165°F. If they need more time, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
6. Add Cheese: To make chicken patties with cheese, turn off the air fryer and place a slice of cheese on each patty. Close the air fryer for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese using the residual heat. This prevents the cheese from blowing off.
Notes
Always preheat your air fryer. It makes a big difference in achieving evenly cooked, crispy chicken patties. Remember to flip the chicken patties halfway through for the best results.
