Ingredients
- 2 tbsp ground coffee
- 1 tbsp ancho chili powder
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp Aleppo pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. This step ensures even cooking.
2. Season the steak: Rub the coffee chili rub ingredients evenly over both sides of the ribeye steak.
3. Prepare the air fryer basket by spraying it lightly with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
4. Place the steak in the preheated air fryer basket. Ensure it’s not overcrowded for optimal airflow.
5. Cook the steak: Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook for 10-12 minutes for a medium finish. Flip the steak halfway through the cooking time for even cooking.
6. Check the temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium doneness.
7. Rest the steak: Remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a juicier steak.
Notes
Adjust cooking times based on steak thickness and desired doneness. Always use a meat thermometer to confirm your steak’s internal temperature.
