Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 package (10 count) flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese
- 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
Optional toppings:
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
1. Brown the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
2. Cook with Seasoning: Add 1 finely chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft. Stir in 1 packet of taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Prepare Beans: While the beef simmers, rinse and drain 1 can of black beans. Add the beans and 1 can of refried beans to the skillet. Mix well and heat through.
4. Assemble Burritos: Lay out 10 flour tortillas. Spoon an even amount of the beef and bean mixture onto each tortilla. Sprinkle with shredded Mexican cheese.
5. Roll Burritos: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and then roll them up tightly.
6. Preheat Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 3 minutes.
7. Air Fry Burritos: Place the burritos in the air fryer basket, seam side down. Cook in batches if needed. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
8. Serve: Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a minute. Serve with salsa, sliced avocado, and sour cream if desired.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. This ensures even cooking and crispiness.
