Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- 12 slider buns
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: lettuce, ranch dressing, pickles
Instructions
01: Marinating the Chicken
- Combine 1 cup of buttermilk, 1/4 cup of pickle juice, and 1/2 cup of buffalo sauce in a large bowl.
- Add the chicken breasts and ensure they are fully submerged.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors soak in.
02: Preparing the Air Fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
- Spray the basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
03: Cooking the Chicken
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off excess liquid.
- Dredge the chicken first in flour, then in the remaining buffalo sauce, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket.
- Cook at the pre-set air fryer temperature for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check that the chicken is golden brown and cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.
04: Assembling the Sliders
- Slice the slider buns and spread a little buffalo sauce on each side.
- Place a piece of the cooked crispy chicken on the bottom half of each bun.
- Add your optional toppings like lettuce and ranch dressing.
- Top with the other half of the bun.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can drizzle a bit more buffalo sauce on the chicken before adding the top bun.
