I’m very happy to share one of my favorite recipes: air fryer honey soy chicken wings. This easy recipe is perfect for anyone looking to make delicious wings with minimal fuss.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
  • Chopped green onions (optional for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon grated ginger, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. This marinade recipe will infuse the wings with a delicious flavor.

 

2. Marinate chicken wings: Add 2 pounds of chicken wings to the bowl and mix well, ensuring all wings are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour, preferably overnight, for the best flavor.

3. Preheat air fryer: Set your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes. This step ensures the wings cook evenly from the start.

4. Arrange the wings: Place the marinated wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.

5. Cook chicken wings: Air fry the wings at 380°F (193°C) for 25-30 minutes. Flip the wings halfway through the cooking time to ensure they crisp up on all sides.

6. Honey soy glaze: While the wings cook, pour the leftover marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens to a sticky glaze consistency, about 5-7 minutes. This sauce reduction will enhance the wings’ flavor.

7. Glaze chicken wings: Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a bowl and pour the glaze over them. Toss to coat evenly.

8. Serving suggestions: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Always ensure the internal temperature of the wings reaches 165°F (74°C) to guarantee they are fully cooked and safe to eat.
